Since 1904, the name Dahlstrom® has been synonymous with the accepted standard of excellence in custom roll formed products. The designation of "Dahlstrom®" as a standard specification by leading manufacturers, architects and designers has enabled us to offer a very broad range of products in our catalog of over 1700 unique profiles. If you are unable to locate the profile or shape you require, Dahlstrom® can produce a new custom profile to your design.
Dahlstrom shapes are fabricated from a wide variety of coil metals including: cold rolled, hot rolled pickled and oiled, high strength low alloy, galvanized and galvannealed steels; stainless steel; copper; brass; bronze; aluminum; and titanium. Some shapes are available in steel only, such as welded shapes or those with tooling not developed to process a particular material.
Current capabilities allow for use of .016" to .200" for products produced from coil material and .016" to .130" for products produced from sheet material. Dahlstrom can handle roll formed shapes up to 85 feet long. Brake formed shapes can be handled up to 10 feet in length, with a few dies available up to 12 feet in length. Most shapes can be cut to specific lengths.
Many cross sectional shape dimensions can be held to .030", with tighter and/or looser tolerances depending upon customer requirements, processing capabilities and tool investment.
Depending upon the complexity and pattern, features such as holes,notches and cut-outs are either pre-punched in-line on roll formed shapes or post punched in a secondary operation.
